I bought electricity 3 times via the prepaid electricity portal on protea metering and i decided to pay off and start on a clean slate this month.
I then received an sms with an electricity code saying thank you for the payment and so i thought there was something wrong and decided to call protea metering and find out why i was still receiving codes when in actual fact i was paying for the 2 times that i had purchased electricity online. the lady told me that my account was okay and that i should not worry.
This morning i received a second one and another sms saying that the debit order was going to be deducted on Wednesday next week. When i called Protea Metering the lady i spoke to said i needed to code it to some number and that all the payments i had made had gone to my water bill.
Now my EFT Payments clearly stated my Electricity Meter number. Every month i pay my Rent it is inclusive of water. Now last month i paid an Extra 814 toward a water bill when it clearly states my meter number.
And the "cannot reverse it "...
Please get this sorted. I faxed them my proof of payments and all documents stating all that but hey...
