We took our kitten (Zara) in on Monday 6 May for a second opinion, broken hearted at the previous day's pathetic service and doom and gloom diagnonis, or lack thereof, from Fourways Vet Hospital. We battled all weekend with our 4 month old kitten and "nothing" could be done to help, except be given medication to put down a kitten's throat, the same kitten that was constantly throwing up and refusing to eat! Christine, Tiffany and the rest of the staff were reassuring to animal and humans alike. They treated Zara with utmost love, attention, affection and everything one hopes that their "child" can receive from the vet when ill. Shortened version: FVH -Cost R1300, lack of expertise, unfeeling, uncaring, 5 minute treatment, medication still unused, no help for a dehydrated, weak, vomiting kitten. Palm Gardens -Cost R1200, experienced, empathetic, knowledgable, a whole host of medication and injections fit for a DEHYDRATED VOMITTING kitten (unlike the shoving tablets down the throat approach of FVH), overnight stay, food, kind words to baby and parents, feedback calls, understandable explanations and a completely recovered kitten! Thank you again Tiffany and Christine - finally tears of happiness.
