Never receive notification slips on time

I usually never receive notification slips on time and I hugely relied on tracking packages online but lately the online system hasn't been updating correctly. Two of my packages have been returned to sender and several international packages haven't been delivered to me.
Do I have to call them directly everyday to make sure I do or do not have any packages?
With my most recent package's tracking number there's mixed up time stamps on the online tracking system.
It states that my Item has been delivered to "NXAKALA" on 25/01/2012 at "CENTRAHIL", which I don't know who that is at all, but the Item was in transit at "TSHWANE (HUB)" on 10/05/2013, how does that make sense? I've just called customer care and they tell me my package had arrived at Wendywood PO on the 15/05/2013 but they haven't scanned it in there. I wonder why. I asked customer care and the lady mentioned it could be laziness. It does get updated on the system when it's collected, but lately, not when it arrived at the Post Office for collection. So their hardware (scanners/computers) does seem to be working.
