SMITH TABATA BUCHANAN BOYES POOR SERVICE DELIVERY

On the 12th December 2012 a property which we had registered to buy a property. Both the seller and our selves realised that over the month of Dec and January that this might hamper the process by just a few days due to the breaks over this period. We were however re-assured time and time again by the lawyers that both us and the seller should we work towards the 1st March 2013 as the official transfer date as the sale would definately be settled before then. It was almost a guarantee that everything would be sorted out by the end of February 2013.We were supposed to receive weekly updates on the status of the transfer which we did not receive unless the estate agent followed up. On the second week of Feb we requested the municipalitys details to follow up on the status of the rates figures ourselves. We called the munipality to find out that the incorrect numbers were sent through by smith tabata and the entire process needed to start again. We had no place to live and our seller had to pay for rates where no one was living. They agreed to compensate us by paying for our storage - to date we still await for the re-imbursement.
