We made an offer on property in Pta, agent took to seller whom then countered offer. When agent called us we said we would make another offer on counter & sign only if the seller agrees to our offer. The Agent made the call to seller & we were all in a verbal agreement that the offer was accepted. Agent then came to our home that Friday evening to sign, We arranged date for deposit transfer, I was given Pam Goldings banking details etc. Agent assured us she was seeing Seller very next day to close paperwork. Weekend went by & on Monday around 5.30 in afternoon, agent calls to tell me that she has bad news, she did not see the seller on Saturday as promised, infact she received another offer Monday afternoon that was a little more than ours & if we like we can make our "best offer" to compete. Agent reneged on her word & agreement with us, portraying such unethical & bad business conduct. unfortunately the law does not recognise a verbal agreement as binding in Property, only place where does not hold. I'm appalled with Pam Golding & their staff, have no work ethic or principals, willing to throw reputations away for a few thousand Rand. showed no remorse.. Greedy & shocking!!
