I just had a sms from JM Attorneys saying: A TRACE ALERT WILL BE PLACED ON YOU AT THE CREDIT BUREAU. JM Attorneys iro Housewares Exclusive acc. call 0113174302. Ref. 0720279706. R11, 043.44 due by 25 Jan 13. I spoke to Simone Killer who I advised that I do not have such an account. She told me that this account was opened 1993/1994. (just wondering how legal is this for someone to threaten you with an account over 10 years old..) I then said I do not have such an account! This woman now wants me to send her a avidavid, copy of my ID and also 3 signatures on my ID document within 14 days. I feel that this is personal information that I do not need to dish out to ANYONE as is so easily committed. I would also like to know how she got my cell phone number as this is a new number I had for about 1 year now. Have also called number advertised for Housewares Exclusive on yellow paGES (013-6564030) - number for Sasol in Swartbos! I was treathen should i not comply to the request, I would be put on Credit Bereau. Please can you assist in getting this matter sorted out? Can I go and open a case of harrasment should they not stop? What can be done should they put me on credit bereau?
