My mother-in-law has an outstanding account with Telkom for a small amount. The account has been handed over to these attorneys for collection. However in the interim, she was diagnosed with rectal cancer that has subsequently spread to her liver. She has now reached a point where the doctors are just controlling her pain. In addition to this she is a pensioner and can only afford her medical aid because her children pay for it. In spite of all this and our repeatedly informing them of my mother-in-law's condition they have nothing but utter contempt for her situation and refuse to stop contacting her with threats of legal action, yesterday she received a threat of a visit from the sheriff of the court to attach her property. My mother-in-law owns nothing and lives with her children. They don't care that they are putting even more undue strain on her already damaged health and have blatantly told us that her illness and position as a pensioner does not exempt her and that they want their money. They refuse to stop with the threatening phonecalls and sms's and couldn't care a that the woman is dying and probably won't see her birthday in February. I'm beyond disgusted.
