I have been garnished without knowing and have been paying this garnish for almost 3 years now. I have requested statements from last year July sometime and have been sent incorrect amounts on the statements. First they told me that I had been paying in short but how is this so as it comes directly off my salary? I have taken this up with my payroll and they have sent all my payments made through to Laiken Smith who advised us that my payments have been incorrectly allocated on their side. How can I pay for something when i dont know what or how much I have paid in thus far? Surely this is against the law. Is a company allowed to garnish your salary without first contacting you to make payment arrangements? I cannot remember anyone contacting me but my payroll sent me a letter stating that I will be garnished and that has been going on for years now. I have the emails that I have sent through to this company and also read receipts have been delivered to my email so surely the mails are being read by someone. I need some clarifivation on this account as soon as possible as it seems that they have been avoiding me and the last mail i received from them was on the 12/12/2012. HELP!!!
