I was late with a Telkom Bill. VVM then sms'd me to advise of the payment and that it was now being handled by them. I called Telkom and paid the outstanding balance. For the past 3 weeks I am getting phone calls and threatening messages advising that my credit profile will be tarnished should I not pay. I have since spoke to Telkom twice to confirm what is outstanding, and they say there is nothing.
I called the Department supervisor Desiree yesterday and was told by her they cannot check yet and that she will pend the file until they get info from Telkom. TODAY i get another SMS from them telling me to pay the full amount. I advised Desiree that should they send me any further messages, or call me, that I will be instituting legal action for hassasment. To date no one has come back to me.
I want this sorted out immediately. VVM seems to do this quite often without doing there follow ups.
Next step is legal action should this not be concluded by COB 31/07/2013.
