On 9th Nov. 2010 I got quote for aluminium windows and doors from East London AGI amounting to R17 125.08. They told me that quote was valid for 30 days and promised delivery to my home in Port St Johns within 3 days after payment has been effected. I borrowed the money from the money lander who charges 15% per month because I could not get money from the banks and the builder needed the material urgently as he needed to finalise building project.
On the 4th December 2010 I made cell phone banking payment to AGI for an amount of R17 125.08. I immediately called AGI at 043 721 2066 after effecting the payment to inform them of the payment however the phone was just ringing without any response. When I called the manager - Steeve at 082 829 2393, he advised me that he was locked out and the company was closed on Friday the 3rd December 2010 and they were advised to stop doing anything.
AGI was provisionally wound up by order of South Gauteng High Court, on 7th December 2010. SM Gore, K.C. Monyela, T.V. Matsepe, N.A.M Tshivhase and S.L. Magardie were appointed jointly as provisional liquidators by the Master of South Gauteng High Court. I have not yet received my money.
