Despite having written confirmation of settlement, MMM Capital (Pty) Ltd keeps sending letters of demand for a Telkom account. The worst of it is that MMM Capital confirmed that they received proof of settlement from Telkom (the amount being R1, 825.23). Despite this I received another Letter of Demand from MMM Capital (Joey) for R2, 384.97 and after informing them that I intend complaining on HelloPeter, I received an e-mail from them stating: "Please be advised that the said account is flagged as settled in full and no further correspondence from my offices will be communicated to you for the said account number 639900662880."
Despite this I yet again received a letter, now demanding R2, 445.24. They keep sending letters to my house, postal address, work & even my auditors demanding an excess of 30% on top of an amount that had been settled. My question to Merchants - if MMM Capital can't keep book of who paid and who didn't, should Telkom be using them? And isn't 30% on top of the capital amount excessive? To other consumers I say: Rather settle with the merchant directly and not with MMM Capital.
