My daughter broke her arm and was admitted in Medi Clinic Hospital in Potchefstroom. We are living in Rustenburg. All the Hospital, Dr's and Anethetist accounts was send to the Medical Aid for payment. All was paid. More than a year later (yesterday 27th May 2013 I received a letter from the Magistrate that wants to write up my goods. I started with an investigation and found that it was radiology account (x-ray) of R669.00 that was never paid. The account was never submitted to the medical aid, the account never reached us or we never received a call that the account was being handed over. I called the attorneys this morning to confirm if they ever tried to reach us, the lady Annetjie, confirmed that they only posted a account once to Vatican City 7 and we live in number 11. She confirmed that she never sms/email or tried to contact us. And now she claims I owe them R2221.00 and if not paid now the Sherrif will claim our goods. The warrant was made out on my Husbands name and we are married out of community of property, Can they take whatever out of my house? What legal right have I against the attorney/service provider?
