In Nov 2011 I registered a website which was to be hosted by Host4Africa. The basic package was sold as R9.99 p/m with a mandatory collection fee. I received ONE statement from the company on the first day of service. In this statement, the expiration date of the website was stated together with Autorenewal set to false. As a customer I understood this as the service would terminate after a year without renewal. As I actually did not require the site, I was happy to let the website expire. However without my consent, Host4Africa automatically renewed this website at my cost.
As I did not permit this action, I feel that I should be liable for the renewal charges.
Furthermore, I have not received any communication from Host4Africa since Nov 2011.
My rights as a customer have been violated, and I will subsequently be terminating my service with this company.
