My two year old daughter had to be taken for X-rays and was referred by the GP to the Van Rensburg and Partners radiologists.
I had to pay up front for the x-rays done at reception.
When I arrived I asked the lady on duty to assist me as my baby daughter was rather scared and tearful. Immediately I was told to keep quit and that "You can talk all you want later". Every moment when I asked her a question she told me not to talk. I found this very disrespectful. This lady also did not wear a name tag and when asked for her name she was rather arrogant.
After the X-rays the GP found nothing wrong with her but me and him decided to still take my daughter to an Orthopaedic specialist. The specialist wanted a sonar done and I took her to another Radiologist who upon examining the first set of X-rays concluded that they were of bad quality and that he would rather take another set. And upon this examination there was a fracture discovered.
I do not approve of the way the Radiographer treated me and my daughter and also that we paid for such low quality work that the fracture of her arm could not be spotted.
I have mailed the head offices but have not received any reply from them at all
