We stayed at the Protea Hotel in Clarens 30 Dec 2012 - 01 Jan 2013. Although we had a wonderful time at a fantastic destination, we did encounter a problem with regards to the restaurant and I sent a letter to management afterwards. I felt that they dealt with this problem promptly and that they were willing to see that my criticism was meant in a constructive way. Not only were they prepared to listen to a client, but also DO something about it - a rarety in SA today! Well done and thank you Protea Hotels - you have re-installed my faith in the hospitality industry but especially in Protea Hotels!
