Due to my wife getting pregnant we decided it was best for her to stay at home, we contacted Discovery in January to transfer the debit order from her work to my bank account they sent through third party debit order forms which were filled in and sent back, we then received confirmation stating that the debit order had been changed. When we noticed that no debit had been taken out for discovery i got my wife to call them, they informed us that our medical aid has been suspended due to no payment and asked us to fill out a DOH form which was done and sent back, emailed us back saying that due to my wife being pregnant they cannot reinstate. We them called our broker who contacted them directly the new reason was that we did not call or email discovery to start the debit order, which is not true both my wife and i contacted discovery to make sure everything was alright with our debit order. We've spoken to doctors they say that discovery wants the policy to laps to avoid them from paying. I'm happy to pay all money owing as it was supposed to be deducted. Discovery knew she was pregnant before January because she had been admitted to hospital and they paid.
