My mother, sister and I ate lunch at the Boma last Sunday. Reception was friendly and helpful but out waiter was completely useless. We ordered tea, he brought us coffee, no teaspoons. After 30 mins he brought us one table spoon to share. A saucer was used as a tea pot lid. The food was revolting. The vegetables were soaking in water, the pasta was cold, there was no butter for the rolls, the meat was fatty and the carver didn't cut it properly. Every plate and bowl was chipped. The 3 of us have suffered severe food poisoning for the last 4 days after that lunch. The desserts were not as they were 2 years ago and no one had bothered to clean up the counters which were full of melted ice-cream. After visiting the Boma for the last 8 years, that was the very last time we will ever eat there. Absolutely disgusting at R140 per head, plus all the doctors bills. Not impressed.
