Beginning of March 2013 our designated GP prescribed blood pressure medication to the second adult member on my medical aid. This is to be a chronic treatment and the relevant paperwork was forwarded to the chronic medicine department to get authorization. It is now a month later and multiple e-mails later. Something that should have taken less than a week to complete is now outstanding for more than a month. This is chronic medication and endangers the individuals life if they are not on it!!! I need to get a prompt response on this to find out if we have to fork out for the medication ourselves of if "Best"med will cover it. As I have come to expect from this company, the only way to receive a response is by posting complaints here.
