I called a few months ago to secure an appointment with Dr Picton. I got an sms this morning to confirm my appointment, I then call and confirm plus to make a few inquiries at my mentioning that I'm on the Anglovaal Group Medical Scheme which is administered by Discovery the receptionist (Elsa or Elsi) automatically 'assumed' that I'm on Key Care and advised that I would need to use cash (which I honestly dont have a problem with coz medical iad charges double anyways). I then offered to get a consultant from Discovery to call and perhaps explain or confirm whatever info she may need as perhaps I'm not the correct person to advise and that's when she honestly threw her toys out of the cot and told me 'well she doesnt work for medical aid therefore she wouldnt know'. my concern & frustration now is that I'm 30 weeks pregnant, due some time in May, where am I honestly going to secure an appointment at such short notice especially because I'm not even based in Klerksdorp but in Gauteng. I made this appointment 2 to 3 months ago and have not been stressing coz I have been under the impression that I arranged everything at home (Klerksdorp). why couldnt they tell me 3 months ago???
