CALLED CONTACT CENTRE ON 12.03.2013 ONLY TO FIND OUT MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED. MY DAD PASSED AWAY ON 05.02.2013 AND HE WAS THE MAIN MEMBER. AND AS WE ALL KNOW MEDICAL AID VERY IMPORTANT. I CALLED AND RECEIVED EMAIL ON 06.06.2013 TO CONTINUE WITH MEMBERSHIP. I WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND HOW GEMS COULD CANCEL MEMBERSHIP WITH OUT INFORMING MY MUM (THE DEPENDANT). I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO HER WHO WAS GOING TO PAY HER MEDICAL BILLS. AFTER I SPOKE TO A CONSULTANT ON 06.06.2013 WITH NAME OF CLINT WHY HAD HE NOT INFORMED NE MEMBERSHIP WOULD BE CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY?? IT SO SAID THAT PEOPLE IN MEDICAL FIELD HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE MOURNING!!! ALL I EXPECTED WAS TO ATLEAST INFORM MY MUM AFTER DOING A DEBIT ORDER FOR MARCH THAT MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED!!
