I cannot understand how every time I have to claim from Discovery Health there is an excuse as to why it hasn't been paid, you haven't received it (regardless of the confirmation email received by your automatic response), it is unclear, there is no service date, etc, etc.
I have faxed, emailed and now tried the boxes that are provided and yet Discovery Health still cannot get it right.
The last of my claims was put into the drop box at Medfem Clinic in Sandton, you would think that this method would be the best. Apparently not as these are collected and then taken to head office where they are then scanned by their own employees and then sent to claims department. It would appear that the scanned documents are not checked before the originals are destroyed as Claims CANNOT see the date of service and now I need to contact my service provider to get them to resubmit on my behalf.
There is also no sms or email to say please resubmit.
I have never had such terrible service in my life!!! It is completely unacceptable to have to resubmit EVERY claim that I have.
I will seriously be looking at moving medical aids once my second child is born.
UNACCEPTABLE!!
