Change of plan

My husband and I are currently members of Discovery. I phoned the discovery line during 2012 and spoke to one of your consultants regarding the change of our plan. My understanding from your consultant was that I can upgrade at any time but will only be able to downgrade our plan during the given timeframe from discovery.
I phone discovery on 7 January 2013 and spoke to Chanelle who informed me that we cannot upgrade our plan due to the fact that we missed the cut off date. She advised that they have a option where I can submit a witten letter and they will consider my request. Two days later I received a reply that they cannot do the upgrade due to the cut-off date. I then again phoned discovery on 11 Jan 2012 and spoke to Darryl who advised me to send the email again and ask them to phone me in order to give me feedback and reasons why not. We dont even want to make drastic changes as we would only want to take off the Delta option and change to a Saver Classic Saver. We missed the cut-off date because of a consultant giving the wrong info.
