I was taken to the emergency section at the Mulbarton Hospital in Johannesburg on the 24 Jan 2014 at -22:30 for severe chest pain. X-rays, blood tests were done. I was given a drip. 2.5 hours later i was discharged from the emergency section and was taken home by my wife.
The full bill was paid from my medical savings account. Surely this cannot be correct.
Also, i subsequently found out that accumulated savings from previous years are only made available from May to December the next year. This also does not make any sense. Why does Bankmed hold members accumulated savings funds for 4 months?
