My doctor has discovered a growth in my womb using a scan in his office and discovered a growth in my womb. He therefore said i must go for Pelvic Ultrasound (Radiologist) for further diagnostic, because of abnormal heavy bleeding and very severy pain, etc.
Today i phoned Discovery and I was told that the medical Aid does not cover for Pelvic Ultrasound. I am paying Discovery every and now when I need help the most, I am being told the Medical Aid does not cover the above mentioned test. In addition, I asked the consultant if I they can send me the Radiology form such that I can see if it's not on the Radiology from and I was told no, the only people who must get the forms are GP. I am the one paying the medical Aid and not my Dr. If my chosen GP see a growth in my womb and the medical Aid does not cover that, then how I am gonna survive the pain, the bleeding I have. In addition, how are they going to diagnose whether I have a tumour or not. I think I am speaking to my HR manager to that I am cancelling this Medical Aid. Because it is of no use to me. I am sick and I cannot even sleep due the pain and abnormal heavy bleeding I have.
