La Dolce Vita Guesthouse

My partner and I decided to go away for four days to the four star quest house La Dolce Vita, Hartebeespoort Dam- Kosmos- from 16 to 20 December. We were told to pay a deposit of R7600, for the honeymoon suite, in order to confirm our booking- which we did immediately. I had to call the guesthouse twice in order to find out if our booking had been confirmed. Upon arrival, at 4pm, at the guesthouse it was filthy and we were told that they will see which room had been cleaned and been prepared for us. We were not placed in the honeymoon suite which we had booked for. The room once again was filthy. The floor was sticky, the glasses had not been washed and had lip marks on them, the cups had been coffee marks in them, the aircon switched off every 5minutes and the bedding had white stains on them. When we enquired at the reception to call the manager there was no one informed to help us. My partner then spoke to the owner, Dion Mostert, over the phone and he stated that he will refund us fully. We had to leave our details, which we did, in order for the payment to be made. We contacted the guesthouse on the 23rd, 26th, 27th and 28th of December. We have still not been refunded.
