Can a surname change be so difficult??

I cannot believe changing your surname with discovery can be such a pain and hassle,
I originally submitted my documents that were not certified and received an email from Maria Mkhize at discovery on the 23rd December 2013 stating that the documents needed to be certified, I then sent the certified documents through to Maria Mkhize on the 06th January 2014, I then received an email from Tracy on the 07th January 2014 Saying that my request cannot be processed as my documents need to be certified I then responded back to her stating that I have sent them to Maria and re-attached the email with the documents, Tracy also mentioned that she tried to get hold of me however no missed calls were received and if I did get one no voicemail was left therefore will never know that discovery was trying to get hold of me, I then emailed Rishana and Barry (Managers) separately out of pure frustration to get confirmation if my documents were not correct that she / he please advise me (I am still awaiting a response) as this is really becoming a pain to get my surname changed, I have been a customer for a while now and a simple process to get my surname changed can be so difficult
