I confirmed the booking two weeks before and again in the week when we would be going.
When we got to the guest house on Friday 9 August, we were told there was no booking for us. Then there were a few more people who pitched up, mostly from far places as well and their confirmed bookings were also not there.
They eventually gave us a room which was totally appalling. The room had no lights or light switch, there was mould over the room walls and bathroom roof, there was no towels, thick layers of dust everywhere and stains all over the pillows, there was even loose, open electrical wiring.
Needless to say we checked out the next morning, but no one even cared to listen to what we had to say, or ask if anything can be done. We tried calling the guest house owner, Linda, but both her phones were turned off. We found out other people had to actually end up spending their night sleeping in their car.
So no one wanted to help or nothing, so we simply left and had to struggle to find other accommodation on such a short notice and on a long weekend.
This is all pretty appalling and disgusting.
