Shocking attitude from a leading hospital!

On the 05/02/2013 at about 3'o clock the morning I took my husband to the emergency ward at the Union hospital in Alberton, he had severe back pain, he's been struggling with a back problem for the past 6 months, the pain was so bad that he could hardly walk. We got there, they pulled his file and told him to wait for the doctor on duty. The doctor came to see him, looked at his file and said there is NOTHING she can do for him because he is a patient of Dr. Larik, and he needs to be contacted first and he must make a decision, and only then can they help him, another sister came and we told her that my husband only saw Dr. Larik once and he had send him for physio and that also did not help. She said she is going to phone him and that he was on call, we sat and waited for about another half an hour, my husband eventually called one of the nurses that was just sitting there and asked her what was happening, she said the sister is still trying to get hold of Dr. Larik. After spending almost 2 hours at the hospital with NO help whatsoever my husband could not take anymore and we left. I could not believe it, it is called an emergency ward? For what? Shocking!!!
