I just want Discovery Health to explain to me why they don't fully cover the Surgeon costs that operated on my son (Wayne van Dyk) in May and August 2013. After numerous corresponde via e-mail and phone i still don't except their explanation, which don't make sense at all. maxillo facial is reconstructive surgery of the face. (Wayne has a cleft palate and hare lip). Why do Discovery come with all sorts off weird names for different procedures. He underwent double jaw surgery to repair his overbite and also to help him lead a normal life. now because Discovery calls the procedure, orthognathic, (sounds like a bird or something) they only paid about 32% of the total account of the surgeon. If they can pay the hospital and any other accounts relating to the procedure, why not the surgeon.??? Who at Discovery plays and decides what to pay and what not. We pay a lot of money and hardly ever make use of hospitals, if we do it comes out of our savings. we also pay for Wayne's orthodontic treatments out of our savings account. please give me an exceptable explanation.
