Wanting to take a quick break away, I came across Hideaway resorts website. The website looked very promising, and I was also then told by a friend of the resort. I booked, and firstly, the place seemed a bit off, secondly, my fears came true:
Security wise, anyone could enter the resort, no checking of people, which made me very unwary.
The chalets was like a little matchbox, like a filthy hole, made for gnomes. Then the electricity went out, the entire night, the management was no-where to be found, only until the following day. Yet there is a emergency number on a leaflet they hand out.
They could not in a least be bothered with the well-being of their customers, whom by the way, paid to be there. We had the worst night ever!
Upon check out the following day the owner, Phillip, could not give a. They refused to refund us, and their overall customer service was just that of we dont really care. He just responded that the main switch was off, yet, weird if the entire place had no electricity, or was it Eskom..couldn't keep count!
The resort is the exact opposite, of what they claim to be, DONT FALL FOR THEIR!
