My Fiancee and I spent a week at the Shelley Point Hotel over the 2012/13 New Year period. The service was superb, rooms were the best four star rooms we have seen, restaurants and the food they served were superb, and the staff were fantastic.
Most of our time was spent lounging around next to the pool or (me) on the golf course. It was quite windy so we didn't get to spend time on the beach but the hotel had more than enough going on to keep us entertained for a week despite the windy conditions.
James, one of the Managers, went the extra mile by driving my Fiancee 30km at 21:00 at night to come fetch me after I came down with a virus on the way back from the Cape Town Airport and could no longer drive. On top of that he organised paramedics to come to the hotel and treat me. This really was above and beyond service - and my personal gratitude and thanks to James for doing this.
We will return at the earliest convenience. A truly wonderful place to kick back and relax!
