We recently booked a holiday home through the website "Where to stay" in Mozambique. When we arrived there the television and radio/hi-fi system did not work. The oven did not work. We were told by the owner when we called her, to hand our washing to the care taker who would go wash it at the neighbor's house for us. On the beds we found sheets that was printed "Hospital use only South African National Tuberculosis Association". We were also told that we could leave our vehicle ta the border post as the roads are only suitable for a 4x4 vehicle and we would be fine as the house is situated walking distance from everything. We found that this was not true and we had to hire quads at a very high rate to get by, as we believed the owner. My elderly mother was with us and she was home bound as she could not walk so far to town. the owner then told us that the care taker would transport her with his quad at her expense, only for us to find that his quad was also broken. On christmas morning the owner was called again to help us with a stove or oven, and she responded that she was having her christmas and could not help us. At R3000.00 per day, is this acceptable?
