My wife and i booked a 2 night stay at the Radisson Blu Gaintrain hotel for 6th and 7th December. When we arrived to check in on the evening of the 6th we were told our booking for the 7th has been cancelled to allow for foreign delegates to stay in light of the passing of Nelson Mandela. The hotel cancelled all confirmed bookings for 2 weeks to make space for what appears to be Obama and his entourage. Kicking SA citizens out with no apology, compensation, discount or even recommendation of alternative accommodation to make space for foreigners at a time like this (a time of National mourning) is despicable and a completely financial decision by a money hungry chain with no regard for its guests. Last time I ever stay at a Radisson Hotel. Shame on you!
