Vitality will not refund incorrect debit

My wife and I booked hotel accommodation on Discovery Vitality, when she called the Call Centre they erroneously triple debited a HUGE amount on my FNB Card. The result is my card credit is fully utilised and i cant spend anymore due to their error. When i called the Call Centre to rectify the situation, the consultant told me i have to wait 3-5 days due to their protocol. I explained that the error was theirs and debiting me R70k is unaffordable and ridiculous for anyone to have to wait 3-5 days to rectify. I then insisted on speaking to a supervisor, who was quite helpful but told me their systems cant isolate my payment due to how their funds are bundled. I told them this was against my rights as their system was not my problem. She was very polite but told me their Finance Dept said i needed to wait. I cant believe this! Your error! I must finance your error (I will be charged interest and I cant use my card because its blocked)! I have been a loyal Discovery Member on Diamond status since it came into being! Why should the consumer take the risk of Discovery's error! Beware before you book on Discovery Vitality, you take the risk off their balance sheet onto yours!
