This afternoon, my woman fell down some stairs at home and was knocked out. The two boys called me and I left work to drive through as quickly as possible. I pressed the preloaded number for Helivac on my cellphone and received an sms to say that I would be contacted urgently. About 25 seconds later, Thobile from Helivac Call Centre called. In a very caring way, she got the relevant details in a calm and efficient manner and said she would despatch an ambulance. Whilst driving, Thobile called me three times to keep me updated.
From what I can establish the ambulance from EmergMed took about 20 minutes to get to the home. The two para medics were also very caring. From beginning to end, Helivac were very caring and efficient and we all felt taken care of. Mr JP van Tonder from Helivac. also called me later to ascertain that my woman was ok and to find out out what transpired after my activation the panic button. His whole manner was also very caring.
I want to thank JP van Tonder and his staff for conducting themselves so magnificently today.
