I have seen this dr earlier this year. I only received an account for an outstanding amount on the 1/10/2013 demanding payment by 04/10/2013. I did make a partial payment on the 29/01/2013 and when I was contacted by her office a day later, I did confirm that I had received the account and due to financial constraints will pay the outstanding amount, I also did confirm to the person of the partial payment. She did not inform me that I needed to inform the dr in writing that I would pay the outstanding amount.
This morning I received a SMS from her attorney informing me that I owe them 300.00 more! I confirmed with the attorney that she indeed did receive the payment. I am livid, because she handed me over to the attorneys after accepting my payment and verbal promise to pay. I discussed this issue with her this morning and she is adamant that I needed to so sort this out with her attorney, and that I did not inform her in writing that I would settle the account.
