It took alot of aggravation but eventually bankmed approved all post transplant meds at 100% of cost as i cannot take generics. However even though it is approved my pharmacist has not been paid in full for september and i am now due to claim for october. When i fone bankmed i am told that on their side everything is approved in full (almost R22 000) and i must take it up with medikredit, when i fone medikredit they say bankmed is only paying abt R17550 and i must query with them; when i receive my claim statement it shows bankmed paid R17550. Bankmed says reverse the claim and submit a paper claim which was done a month ago-no response. everytime i fone its a different excuse (pharmacist didnt claim full amount, medication over prescribed, wait 2 weeks for next payment run and when i do everything is reversed and im told to wait again for the next payment run. medikredit says there are R4000 in co-payments, either because of generics or DSPs but bankmed says no co-payment. I cant even use any other pharmacy cos this is the only one willing to give me my meds (without payment) while bankmed is giving me the run around! Will someone please help sort this out!
