I bought a Groupon voucher for The Duck Pond. After several attempted to obtain a booking (as they were constantly booked full), i arrived there on Saturday 26 Oct. When we arrived thtere were 8 tables being used and about 6 (outside) and the entire inside (approx 10 tables) tables that were vacant. We were seated and then issued with the "GROUPON MENU". This was a surprise as there were no restrictions on the Groupon add when the deal was advertised. The menu consisted of a Starter: Brocolli soup and a Main: Chicken & Mushroom Pie OR Lamb neck and rib potjie. It was a hot day and i def' did not feel for any of these dishes but i was left no further choice. The bread provided as the pre-starter seemed at least a day old, The was an object in the Brocolli soup of a fellow table so i opted not to have the starter and the Potjie althought tasty as not fresh i.e. made the previous day. The hostess visited all the tables excluding the tables occupied by the coloured guests. She went to each of the other tables at least twice and at some tables she visited 3 times. To say the least, i will never eat there again.
