READ THIS BEFORE SUBMITTING A CLAIM! WHAT A JOKE

6 weeks ago I was in a serious car accident. 2cars were written off & I required hospitalisation.

The ambulance came, checked my Discovery Card, phoned the hospital & authorised me to come through.

I was taken to Accident & Emergency on a spinal board with a neck brace etc.

I required multiple chest, back and neck x-rays. I also needed an ECG and MRI scan.

As you can imagine this had the potential to be a very serious injury. Luckily after several hours my injuries were not severe, I had whiplash, cracked ribs etc but it was ok because I had medical aid that I am paying R1, 200 per month for hey... APPARENTLY NOT.

To my horror, I was later sent bills for x-rays and doctors consultations etc that totalled over R2, 000.

And here is the reason why and this is ESSENTIAL READING TO ANYONE WHO GOES TO HOSPITAL...

Because I was kept in A&E and not admitted to a specific ward I was not covered. If I had 'FAKED' some breathing problems, chest pains etc or insisted that I be kept over night I would have been covered!!

So to ensure your claim is accepted, FAKE AS MUCH INJURY AS YOU CAN!!!

It may cost the hospital a bed, discovery a lot more money but hey!!

DISCOVERY = A JOKE!!
