26 Aug 2013, my husband was involved in a car accident, but was still conscious after the car was towed he was taken home, then later insurance called him to check on him, he told them he is ok only minor pains on the shoulder, then insurance consultant advised him to go to hospital for check-up and also X-rays as in certain cases the injury can be internal. Then he was driven to hospital. When the hospital bill came we discodered that Discovery has paid claims out of savings funds, upon calling Discovery to rectify we were told that no body called them to advise that my husband was in accident and further we need to get the PMB form completed by Dr. When we took the form to hospital we were told that we need to wait for the Dr to consult 24 patients then only then he might find time to complete the form, we couldn't wait. Hospital then gave us a copy of injury form which provides all the details about accident and also reflect the SAPS case number, such was then forwarded to Discovery on 3 Sep 2013, to date Discovery hasn't reverted to us yet the automated email response claims that they will respond within 3 working days.
