Handing clients over without letting them know

Monday 7/10/2013 i get an email from lawyers advising me that I have been handed over by Intercare, I did not understand for what, upon investigation it was for a visit last year Dec `12. When phoning their account in PTA Lauren told me that they were trying to get hold of me with no luck, which i find very difficult to believe seeing that they have on my file all my details, incl work land line number and address and email address. But still could not get hold of me since Dec`12.Now I have been handed over and will be listed as a bad payer for 3 years!! When i asked Lauren what details they were trying to reach me on she gave me a unknown email address (Intercare would have gotten a return email stating the email address is incorrect) why did she not phone Kempton Park to see what details are on my file??? I asked her "why did you not use the info given by myself to Intercare "..her answer was ... "we dont have those resources to look for your contact details". So Intercare PTA accounts can not phone their branch in Kempton Park to ask for alternative numbers??? I will pay Intercare what is owed to them but will not pay a cent to the legal fees.
