On the 9th August authorization was given for my mom by discovery, even she was 3 weeks away from being fully covered. She suffered a heart attack while at Claremont Life (which did nothing for her btw). She needed a blood transfusion and dialysis, etc. Although authorization was given they aren't paying for anything, including the hospitalization of approx R70000 (4 and a half days). Long story short my mom past away due to discovery not being able to give assurance that they will cover hr for certain things and the hospitals not sure of they should do whatever they have to do. Besides the hospitalization amount there I huge number of outstanding amounts. I am still waiting on discovery to come back with an answer. I pay a huge amount of money on a monthly for a medical aid that seems to be useless. Everytime I call the call centre a new call gets logged and I don't hear from discovery again.
