Hi,

Bankmed is the worst medical aid to belong to.

They give bad service because they know that as a Bank Employee you have no option, but to be on Bankmed.

I might as well not have medical aid than to be on Bankmed.

As an ex Discovery Health member, I must say that being forced to join Bankmed is a big regression and I will be putting up a fight with my employer to change my medical aid.

I submitted a claim on 25 June 2013 and sent a request to update my banking details on the 01st of July.

They firstly, still paid the claim to the incorrect bank account, because my details were only updated 10 days after I sent the request through.

Almost a month later and I have still not received my claim and the call centre is not even bothered about it.

I also paid the doctor R900.00, but Bankmed will only refund R600.00
