Absolutely shocked at the filth we were confronted with at Makiti Wedding venue. We attended a wedding in September 2013 and for R800 per night we at least expected a clean room. Bedding stank, floor was covered in dirt and the bathroom swarming with ants. We later discovered that other guests had it worse and had to ask staff for cleaning material to clean their rooms themselves.
The staff were friendly enough but the state of the venue is revolting, especially considering the rates they are charging. I would not recommend letting your guests stay at Makiti if you plan on getting married there. Ruined the weekend celebrations for us.
