As a guest for a wedding arriving at the reservations reception the welcome was apauling. At the 'reception desk' food & drink orders were being taken as well as key deposit monies all at the same time by the same person.
The state of the rooms for the guests, not appealing, pillows stained/torn, no hanging space, no counter top to place any luggage, the bathroom door lock in adjacent room door jammed forcing one of the guests to climb out of the window who was in the process of changing. There was NO WATER for sale at the reception. The next morning breakfast was offered at R80.00 per person with instruction to be had between 08h00 - 09h00... The chef was not ready... no eggs were available. The guests had to wait for rooms to be inspected before deposit was returned... the wait time was indefinate. The actual wedding venue and grounds however are beautiful, but if the venue offers accommodation to the guests the guests should be looked after, no guests... no wedding! This venue has a lot of potential but the hospitality and houskeeping need serious attention. I am a photographer and being a guest at this venue I could never recommend this venue if guests are coming from far.
