Just over a week ago i applied for a american express plantinum card. Yesterday i returned their calls only to find out my application was declined being in complete shock as i should have met all the requirements I required how this was possible as i should have an excellent credit record. I was then informed i have been listed on the bureau. I told them this is impossible. I then contracted Experian an they said i am not listed and i have a excellent bureau record, they then informed me to contact transunion as they could nave different details. I then called transunion only to find out that Discover have listed me. I have not been with Discovery for years, so i called them to ask what was going on and apparently in 2010 when i withdrew from Discovery i owed them R1120 as savings are given upfront and when i withdrew from the medical aid i needed to pay them back, i told the lady tshis was appalling firstly how was i to know that? Secondly they have not even contacted me to pay this? Thirdly how could they log a default on my name without me being aware of anything!!! Furthermore i am very senior in a financial company and this could damage my name!!! Today i paid the money
