My quadriplegic son has a Baclofan pump inside his body that holds Lioresal / Baclofan to mimimize his body spasms.
Discovery autherized the procedure, which was done in Feb 2013 and paid for it in full. Keith had to have a refill in June 2013 and now Discovery refuse to pay for the medication Lioresal because they say it's untested. I have copies of the approval from the Nation Medical Board for the medication to be used up until Dec 2013, so I don't know what the problem is.
You can't speak to anyone in Discovery about this and the call centre agents are unqualified for this type of query. I have sent so many emails to different dept Claims, info Health and Ex -gratia, but no one gets back with a answer.
How is this possible that they approved the procedure for the pump and medication know that the pump has to be refilled at some point.
