I bought ADDIDAS spectacles from specsavers. I was under the impression that the spectacles was quality as it is a branded product which was highly recommended, but to the contrary. Both ear pieces got damaged. One of them about 6 months ago and the other 2 weeks ago. Specsaver could replace both at a cost of R1120, which is ludicrous in the view that I bought quality eyewear in the first place. In my opinion this is an example of a branded product with no quality backing the name. I therefore request the replacement of the ear pieces at no charge. I am a 50 year old person, who most certainly know how to treat eyewear, and these spectacles were not in any way abused whilst it was in my possession. I have sent an e-mail to ADDIDAS with no response from them yet. I can state that in the past I have received excellent service from Specsavers, and it disappoints me that Specsavers is willing to sell inferior spectacles, or to be associated with the ADDIDAS brand, if they are unwilling to provide backing for their product.
