Poor account management

A few weeks ago I received a phone call from some attorneys claiming that I have an outstanding account with ER24 and since I have not paid it they are forced to take further steps. Shocked, I kindly asked if they will please send me the account in question, the person refused and said she can only send a text message.

After a lot of struggling I got hold of someone at ER24's accounts department. I asked the person about the incident.
I asked if they have my cell phone number? - Yes
Do you have my email address? - Yes
Do you have my physical address? - Yes

They have all of my details but never thought to just mail me an account? According to law, a company must send you at least three accounts stating the amount owed by you and at least one must be via registered mail.

Today I receive a text stating: van Rensburg UR listed as a DEFAULTER for Rxxxxx with SCS/LAM attorneys. To unlist phone Phindile Ibeneme ASAP. Tel: 0873516527.

I phoned the number and the guy on the other side can't tell me the company's name or who Phindile is??? This is extremely unprofessional and a national company like ER24 should really take more pride in their customer relations and attorney choices.
