NO KEEPING TO AGREEMENT

I had to go for an operation in Dec 12, and phoned day 1 health where we have insurance for hospitalisation. Spoke to Margaret, she explained in detail what we whould do and form to be filled in which she also emailed to me. This should be recorded conversations??? She also said that they would pay out about R15000, and that I can put the extra money into my pocket if there is any. No where during this conversation she ever mentioned that we need and authorisation no BEFORE I go for the op. The documents from doctors were enough.
We had the 2 doctors fill in the documents and mailed it to Margaret as well as all the accounts she needed to start the claim.
This year we tried to get Margaret to phone us back on numerous occasions regarding the claim and today she said that they will only pay out R6000 instead of R15000. The premium was a lot more than what tehy advertised on tv and the claim is not paid out in the short period I was told. I am still trying to get answers from them as well as explaining the false advertising on tv.
